First things first. Talk to your doctor and share all of your history - be exact and tell about your fears. If you don't it will only add to the situation and create emotional overload. If you have a sponsor let her know what is going on and she will help you walk through the process; step by step. Reach out to other women on this site - many of them have gone through the same experience and are not only alive today - but made it through with their recovery intact. God works miracles.

Pocket your pride and be grateful that you made it at all. It beats the alternative; dead or living drunk/loaded until we do die. You have a lot to offer, even to those younger than you - so go for it!
